Sharing Our Supplies and Our Spirit at Los Quinchos and Our Welcoming Cermony

What a day! It was a very emotional day for all of us, as we heard the sad stories of Nicaragua's children of the street. We were moved by the loving home provide by the Los Quinchos organization which rehabilitates them from the sad realities of their glue sniffing drug addictions. We shared the morning at the girls school and afternoon at the boys school where we played, shared our stories and love. They were so appreciative of the school supplies, craft projects, and soccer balls our volunteers collected for them. It was so difficult to leave but the community of Piedra Menuda in Nindiri anxiously awaited our arrival with the most special of welcoming ceremonies. We later settled into our living quarters where we will share our entire work week. It surely will be an adventure with 16 females sharing one very small room. The boys have a bit more space with just 6 of them :) Tomorrow we begin our building project. We will try our best to keep you up to date but our connection is extremely unreliable.

  1. I can't imagine what a difficult day it was for you today. I'm sure the children you spent time with at the homes will always remember the warmth and kindness you showed them. You are all doing great things and we are so proud of you! Miss you so much Linds!! I love seeing pics of you smiling and having fun and doing such good work. Good luck at the construction site.
